The Vision Behind

"This collection was born from a desire to create swimwear that is as sculptural as it is wearable," says Lauren. "I wanted to celebrate the natural female form while incorporating elements that feel both timeless and modern." Drawing from the fluidity of the ocean and the graceful ease of historical French fashion, La Collection Ruché seamlessly marries strength with softness, just as femininity does.

The defining feature? Artful ruching. This delicate gathering of fabric, a time-old French construction technique, creates gentle texture and sculpted lines, enhancing the silhouette while offering an elegant point of interest. Combined with our iconic second-skin fabric, supportive underwire, and balconette-style cups, the result is a collection that flatters, supports, and moves effortlessly with the body.

Bringing the Collection to Life

With the concept in place, the process of refining each piece began. Lauren and her Portugal-based manufacturer spent months perfecting the construction, ensuring that every seam, strap, and contour worked in harmony. "I take a hands-on approach to development, testing each design and sample iteration rigorously to ensure it provides flawless shape and comfort," Lauren explains. "Our goal is always to create swimwear that feels as incredible as it looks."

Every element of a garment plays a critical role in what can be achieved from a construction standpoint. "Our iconic second-skin fabric allows us to create ruching while still providing the incredible contouring effect we’re known for," Lauren explains. She explained that she consistently pushed the limits of what was possible with herself and her manufacturing partners, resulting in a collection that together, they are extremely proud of, and that is exceptional.
